About Me
Leah Norem spends most of her time taking care of her kids. The youngest is non-verbal and deep within the autism spectrum. Raising him is stressful and difficult, and it takes everything she has to make it through the day. Emotionally, physically, and mentally caring for him is the hardest thing she has ever had to do.
When she’s not taking care of the kids, you will find her creating art, primarily working in her ceramics studio. While she enjoys many different mediums such as watercolor, collage, mixed media, painting, and drawing, she finds throwing pottery to be meditative and relaxing. Her journey with pottery began in 2017 and consists of sculptural and functional pieces. The process of making pottery has taught her to be more patient and to live in the moment. Creating art is her way of finding peace.
Leah is active with her art on social media as well as within the Green Bay arts community. She is the Treasurer of the non-profit group, S.A.G.E., a member of the Green Bay Art Colony, and enjoys participating in events and a variety of exhibitions. She enjoys sharing her experiences as an artist with others and takes pleasure in demonstrating her process.
